I know, AutoCAD, ......whatever.
That was my thought too until I looked into what this site and apps let you do. There are a couple different aspects to it but the one I like the best is you can import a solid model and it will generate the patterns for you to cut cardboard shapes and glue them up into a stack to become a physical model of your part! This is totally helpful for art projects or quick and rough prototypes. They could even serve as the rough frame for clay or other modelling medium. It will also generate origami like patterns!
